The equipment rental industry has been growing at 24% per year in the US since 1982 • One in 4 or 5 pieces of equipment in the US is rented • Versus 1 in 2 in Japan and 7 in 10 in the UK Equipment covered includes construction, industrial, farming, forestry, DIY, special event and other equipment • Every company rents in equipment to varying degrees • Equipment is mostly a commodity • Construction has the highest spend on rental as % of total cost structure Rental equipment is perishable, like airplane seats • Multiple competitive bids can yield price variations up to 50 to 75% from low to high bid • Differentiation in service, equipment condition, geographical reach Owners of equipment have idle equipment too • Can serve to continually increase the supply-base  semi-infinite depth • Revenue from renting out temporarily idle equipment is all cash profit
