Activities Outcome 1  To get a favourable judgment in cases against police violence with WSW Sub outcome  Initiate positive response from policy makers • Activities Circulate copies of the details on the police violence and the substantial documents among the policy makers and the superior officers in the Home department File a PIL seeking direction to enforce the directive of the State Government Meet the Home Secretary and present a brief about the atrocities faced by the sexworkers Media Advocacy

Outcome 4  Hospitals will follow procedures and adopt measures safe for medical personnel and all patients in relation to post exposure prophylaxis and universal precaution kit Sub outcome Hospitals and doctors sensitized on PEP usage Activities Conduct a workshop to disseminate the study results to the hospital and doctors and sensitize them Prepare a report on the workshop and submit it to TNSACS and Health Secretary Present the study report to Project Director TNSACS

Outcome 5  To increase availability and accessibility of legal resources to stigma and discrimination on basis of sexuality, gender or HIV Sub outcome Judicial officers, lawyers sensitized on enhancing the accessibility of legal resources to combat discrimination Activities Copy of the report circulated to the Magistrates and District Judges through the Judicial Officers Association Conduct a sensitization workshop with the lawyers and Magistrates in the area of operation of Sangams Coordinate with the Sangam Team to identify lawyers and Magistrates

8. Outcome 6  To foster supportive policy and community response at Panchayat level with regard to stigma and discrimination Sub outcome  Passed resolutions in 15 Panchayats against stigma and discrimination Activities Coordinate with the Sangam team in conducting meetings and passing resolutions

9. Favourable judgment obtained against police violence with respect to WSW/MSM • Met the Home Secretary , Government of Tamilnadu on 23rd November 2004 and elaborated the plight of sex workers being harassed • Government issued an order dated 18.11.2004 to this effect

15. Appropriate condoms for MSMs to be made available and accessible • Strategic consultation on the availability and supply of condoms fro anal sex in India conducted at Bangalore on the 14th of December, 2004 with NGOs working with the MSM Community

16. MSM Condom . . . Outcome of the meeting • People are satisfied with the regular condoms, but needed extra lubrication • National Committee was initiated to explore the issues regarding lubricant • Acquisition • Manufacture • Distribution • The Resource person from TTK, Chennai Dr. P Shivakumar helped us reframe our requirements in terms relevant to the Corporate/Private sector • The follow up meeting – Consultation for strategic Interventions among MSM population in India is slated to be conducted at Mumbai on 10th January 2005

17. Hospitals will follow procedures and adopt measures safe for medical personnel and all patients in relation to post exposure prophylaxis and universal precaution kit • Results of the survey were submitted to the Project Director, Tamilnadu State AIDS Control Society • TNSACS has issued letters to the Medical institutions to make available the PEP drugs and UP Kits in all the hospitals

20. PLHA Discrimination • Report on the study conducted on PLHA regarding issues of stigma and discrimination • The list of hospitals where OI’s were treated was circulated to the Hospitals for authentication • Report was submitted to Project Director, TNSACS
