  2. Today you will learn all about special words. Watch this short video to learn about these words. Click the box above to begin the video.

  3. HOMOPHONES are words that sound alike but have different spellings and meaning. What are HOMOPHONES?

  4. HOMOPHONES - Example 1 blew blue The wind blew the tall tree. My mom has a new blue car. In this sentence blew means the wind moved. In this sentence blue is a color.

  5. HOMOPHONES - Example 2 maid made The maid works very hard. Mr. Joe made a box out of wood. In this sentence maid names a person who has a job cleaning. In this sentence made means created.
