  6. Rule of Thumb (Ohms Law)Used to determine how much electricity a circuit can handle. A little about electricity:So, what is more deadly, the amps or volts. Given your body is a constant resistance, it really is a combination of both. Higher voltage means higher amperage, and thus higher voltage has more potential to kill. PROPERTY OF PIMA COUNTY JTED, 2010 Use proper procedures when plugging and unplugging lights. • Switch off lights/equipment first if possible • Plug cord into equipment first and then into wall or power source • Unplug at wall/power source first • Pull at plug – not on cord • One-handed • Never while leaning on, lying, sitting, or kneeling on floor or metal objects • Announce to crew before plugging or unplugging power
