It is a co-educational private organization established in Gangtok, Sikkim with agreement between Government of Sikkim and Manipal Pai Foundation.The University is approved by government of India and recognized under the UGC Act Section 2(f), 1956 vide letter No F. 9-7/96(CCP-I) dated 9th December 1998. Sikkim Manipal University (SMU) Distance MBA Course Offered MBA Program:-Sikkim Manipal University-Distance Education (SMU-DE) offers four specializations courses under its Master’s Business Administration (MBA) Program curriculum, which includes- • MBA in Marketing Management, • MBA in Information Systems Management, • MBA in Human Resource Management • MBA in Finance Management The course duration for the distance MBA Degree Program from SMU-DE is a minimum of 2 years (which is divided into 4 semesters) and if the candidate fails to qualify the exam within this 2 years then a provision of maximum of 4 years is granted to the registered candidates. BBA Program:- Distance Bachelor’s in Business Administration (BBA) is one of the successful 3-years courses offered by Sikkim Manipal University.

BBA Program Eligibility:- Candidate must have passed 10+2 or 3-year diploma or any equivalent degree from any recognized board. Sikkim Manipal University (SMU) Distance MBA Fees 2020 MBA Course Fees:-The fee structure per Semester is Rs. 21,250/ includes exam Fee of Rs. 5,000/– (revised from time to time). BBA Course Fees:- The per semester fees is Rs. 16250 and exam fees is Rs. 5000 Entrance Test for Admission in MBA/PGDM Programme into SMU The candidates are eligible to apply for the available courses on the basis of different entrance exams like CAT/GMAT/ MAT/ XAT / STATE LEVEL test scores. Candidates who have successfully qualified in SMAT examination holds a GMAT score of 500 and above or have scored 60 or more percentile/percentage and above in CAT/ MAT/XAT/ STATE LEVEL test scores are considered as eligible candidates.
