  2. Some wonder where evil, hardship, suffering, heartbreak, death, hopelessness etc. all began It began when man sinned in the Garden of Eden Introduction

  3. Some deny the reality of Genesis 3 If man did not sin, then we have no need for the scheme of redemption – the scheme of redemption becomes a solution with no problem 1. Not A Myth

  4. Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned Rom. 5:12

  5. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 1 Cor. 15:22

  6. Made in the image of God, Adam and Eve were made with the power of choice The choice was whether they would obey God or not They chose to sin 2. Power of choice

  8. My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not. Proverbs 1:10

  9. The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. Ezek. 18:20

  12. Doubt - “Yea, Hath God said?” Denial – “Ye shall not surely die” Deceit – Satan persuaded Eve there was much to be gained Desire – Eve saw ….

  15. “Sin always promises what it cannot give” Rather than being like God, Adam and Eve realized that they were ungodly – now unworthy of His fellowship and filled with fear

  16. But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear Is. 59:2

  17. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled Mt. 5:6

  18. Banishment from the tree of live meant death for Adam and Eve Adam’s sin brought about death for him and his offspring 5. Reality of death

  19. Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; Heb. 2:14

  20. When sin entered God went to work on the great Scheme Of Redemption The rest of the Bible tells of the unfolding of God’s great plan to save man 6. God gives us HOPE

  21. And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Gen. 3:15

  22. Everything lost in Adam is regained in Christ

  23. Jesus’ temptation (Mt. 4) and his victory over temptation and sin proves to us that he is able to remedy all harm caused by the first sin and all sin committed thereafter

  24. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God. Rev. 2:7
