  4. Know your airplane – Cherokee Six The Cherokee Six is a complex airplane because it has a controllable pitch propeller. Well, maybe, the FAR/AIM states complex Airplanes as; “an airplane that has a retractable landing gear, flaps, and a controllable pitch propeller’. The Six does not have retractable landing gear.

  5. Know your airplane – Cherokee Six The Cherokee Six is a high-performance airplane because it has more than 200 horsepower. The FAR/AIM classifies a high-performance airplane as; “an airplane with an engine of more than 200 horsepower.” The Six is so classified and flight time should be logged as high-performance in your log book.

Rear Seat Passengers - 35 lbs + 40 lbs = 75 lbs. Baggage - Forward compartment = 75 lbs. Aft compartment = 75 lbs. Fuel - 30 gal. / wing = 360 lbs.
