AN INFORMATION LITERACY ASSESSMENT

Background

Science and Technology

“In a rapidly-evolving world, science and technology education is an important instrument in the search for sustainable development and poverty reduction. Yet educational systems are faced with the challenge of science and technology education that has lost relevance not being able to adapt to current scientific and technological developments.” (UNESCO, 2011)

“…These disciplines are rapidly changing and it is vital to the practicing scientist and engineer that they know how to keep up with new developments and new sources of experimental/research data”(ACRL, 2006)
