  4. Sec. 1.3 – Segments, Rays, Parallel Lines, and Planes • Segments • Part of a line consisting of 2 endpoints and all points between them. You name the segment by its endpoints. This is Segment AB. Points A and B are the endpoints of the segment.

  5. Rays • Part of a line consisting of 1 endpoint and all the points on one side of the endpoint. It extends in only one direction forever. You name a ray by its endpoint and one other point on it. This is Ray XY. Points X is the endpoint of the segment and point Y is another point on the ray.
