Who Are We? • Spring ISD Virtual School: • Opened August 2008 with 12 course offerings • Currently offering 24 courses (Health MS) • Serves Spring ISD Schools for grades 8 – 12 • Staffed with 13 teachers and 7 office personnel • 2012-2013 course enrollments: 1643 • Fall 2013 course enrollments: 744

  26. STAT • Response to Intervention • Pre-Screen for student support prior to the beginning of each semester • STAT meetings are held online every 2nd and 5th week of each grading period in addition to informal meetings as student needs arise • STAT meetings are held by content area

STAT Goals • To support individual student needs by providing the teacher with appropriate interventions • To incorporate academic and behavioral interventions for the student to improve chances of success • To create an effective system allowing for the analysis of data to determine the most effective teaching tools for the student • To communicate expectations, interventions, and the educational process with the parent(s) to increase support for student success
