This slide compares the first part (0-12 Hour) of the Terminal Aerodrome Forecast (TAF) for MDW and ORD combined to the computer guidance (FWC and MAV). Three items to notice. 1) The general decline in the TAF (black bar) false hours from 2001 to 2004. 2) The computer false hours went up in 2004 while the TAF false hours went down. 3) In 2003 the MAV guidance was better than us with a lower false hour count most months. In 2004, we reversed that so we now have the lowest false hour count.
