  1. Cell Analogy(Plasma T.V.) Bruno de Leoń

  2. Cytoplasm • The Cytoplasm is composed of cytoskeleton and organelles. Without cytoplasm the cells would not get it’s original shape. • The Cytoplasm for a plasma T.V. would be The HDMI of the plasma T.V. The HDMI helps bring the shape of the image that is shown on the screen. As well does the Cytoskeleton brings shape to a cell.

  3. Centriole/Microtubules • Centriole/Microtubules are fibers that help organize chromosomes during cell division. Without them chromosomes would not be organize before cell division. • The Centriole/Microtubules for a plasma T.V. would be the plasma itself. Because the gas is mainly mad up of uncharged particles, the negative charged electrons perfectly balance the positive electrons. Which makes the atom inside the plasma have a net charge of zero.

  4. Nucleus • The Nucleus is the center of the cell. It contains all genetic material. Ecstasy causes damage to the DNA and to the genetic material of a cell. • The rib of the plasma T.V. is just like the nucleus. The rib contains all the needed material for the T.V. to have image. Just like the Nucleus that contains DNA and genetic material for the cell.

  5. Rough ER/Ribosomes • The Rough ER/Ribosomes are used for proteins (Ribosomes) and to export it through out the cell (Rough ER). Without the ER the cell wouldn’t get the proteins needed to work functional. • The Rough ER/Ribosomes are like cathode ray tubes for a plasma T.V. The cathode ray tubes release the proteins needed to help get that crisp clear image on the T.V.

  6. Smooth ER • The Smooth ER has no ribosomes, but it makes lipids for the membrane. Without the ER our membrane wouldn’t have the important lipids. • The display electrode (vertical) is just like the Smooth ER. The display electrode has the important materials for the screen of the T.V. just like the lipids of the Smooth ER.

  7. Golgi Apparatus • The Golgi Apparatus are flat sacs that package and transport materials out of the cell. Without it the cell would not be able to package and transport materials out of the cell. • The other display electrode (horizontal) acts like the Golgi Apparatus. The electrode transport the image towards the other electrode (vertical) and out to the screen.

  8. Mitochondria • The Mitochondria produces energy for the cell. Without mitochondria our cells would not get the needed amount of energy. • The Mitochondria for the plasma T.V. are the xenon and neon atoms. It produces that energy for the image and also creates different types of colors that show up on the image of the T.V. When they are excitied.

  9. Lysosome • Lysosomes have enzymes that help clean up particles and waste of the cell. Without Lysosomes the cell would be clogged up by its own waste. • There is no example for the plasma T.V.

  10. Vacuole • The Vacuole is a sac that stores water, salt, proteins and carbohydrates. Without the vacuole the cell would contain massive salts and proteins. • The rib of the plasma T.V. can also be the Vacuole. The rib stores the atoms as the vacuole stores salts water and those other things.

  11. Cell Membrane • The Cell Membrane is made up of lipids. Without the Membrane the cell would not know what is coming in or out. • The screen of the plasma T.V. is just like the Cell Membrane. As the Cell Membrane knows what is it exporting and importing so does the screen know what to show by the image.
