MathWhiz – Teacher Student

  • Compulsory Assignment in Mathematics

    • To select and evaluate digital learning resources

      • Introduction to digital learning resources

      • Evaluation criteria for digital learning resources in general

      • To select and evaluate learning objects: MathWhiz - Gamelike Learning Objects (Globs) -

        • Get familiar with one Glob and evaluate it using an online questionnaire

        • Play another glob together with a classmate – evaluate alone by questionnaire


Mathwhiz pupils age 10 12

Mathwhiz – Pupils (age 10-12)

  • Teacher Students conduct classes during their school practice period

    • Each pupil plays one game and then answers a questionnaire

    • Pairs of pupils play together and then answer the questionnaire individually

    • The Teacher Student compare his or her own evaluation with the pupils’ feedback

  • Involvement of Practice Teachers and their Students

  • Participant observation by the Teacher Educator
