Current Initiatives: 100% obligation of FY 2008 corporate funds by September 30, 2008 Implementation of new e-Travel System Pilot implementation at KSC currently underway HQ and other Centers will implement system in October Impact on all HQ offices and travelers System is more complex than current GELCO Travel Manager System Likely requirement to identify key personnel in HQ offices to serve as “preparers” More information will be forthcoming Transition of Accounts Payable function from GSFC Regional Finance Office to the NSSC in August Changes in process and procedure for COTRs and other individuals who approve invoices for payment Budget Management and Systems Support

Integrated Asset Management Transitioned to Agency’s new IAM System Tool for property custodians and end users N-PROP: Tracking and managing equipment online Reassignments Request property tags Excess turn-ins Request for Property passes Transfers Disposal Desk Top Ordering for Office Supplies Provides “front-end” order entry screen designed specifically for NASA HQ users All orders require review and approval by designated approvers (Terry, Rhonda or Alice) Approvers can modify quantities and delete line items prior to submitting to AMMS Only designated approvers can actually submit orders into AMMS NASA HQ Mass Transit Subsidy Program NASA HQ has completed its transition from paper fare cards to the new SmartBenefits process for receiving the mass transit subsidy (maximum subsidy of $115/month). SmartBenefits is a process whereby employers have the dollar value of employees' monthly Metrochek commuter benefits loaded electronically onto the employees’ SmarTrip cards  The SmarTrip cards can be used for Metrorail, Metrobus, and most local mass transit systems. Approximately 400-500 people have attended the six town hall meetings held this year to educate employees on the new process. Employees enroll in the program via an on-line application. Approximately 650 employees are in the program. The HQ Transportation Officer manages the program for NASA HQ. GSFC Logistics Services for NASA HQ
