  3. History • How graphic design started: • 3rd and 4th millennium BC- First written language in Sumer • 4th and 7th century A.D.- Printing • 1950s- Technology used by military and scientists • 1970s & 1980s- Computers

  5. Product • Wrap for Care Link ambulance. • I had to draw designs for the wrap on a template and then design it on the computer.

  10. Product • I spent a total of 15 hours with my mentor. • My grandmother had breast cancer and that’s how I connected with this product of making the wrap.

  11. Mentor • Jan Brown • Her qualifications- • Graduated from Appalachian State with a bachelors degree in graphic design.

  12. Sign my mentor made for when I came in. Desk I worked at.

  13. What I learned • Learned how to advertise • Photoshop • Watched my mentor work on other projects and she talked me through how to do things.

  15. Interesting facts • There are more people that are involved in making a graphic design than you think. • Graphic designers hire other graphic designers sometimes.
