  2. The Active Walk pt. 6“An Unlikely Exception: Rahab’s Overcoming Faith!” Message Thesis: An active walk is a walk that requires faith. Message Objective: To understand that our past is no match for the grace of God. Vision Relationship: Saved, spirit filled, lovers of the Word and work of God. Equipped to share their faith effectively.

  3. What Rahab reveals: • Her attitude. • Her actions. • Her achievement.

  4. What Rahab reveals: • Her attitude: An attitude is a mental position with regard to a fact. Israel is coming to claim Jericho. Rahab responds to that fact with the mental position of agreement. Attitude is a settled way of thinking or feeling about someone or something that is reflected in a person’s behavior. When we look at Rahab’s attitude we will see that she got in agreement with God and His plan.

  5. What Rahab reveals: • Her actions. • She protected the will of God. • Faith without works is dead. • Our deeds are a demonstration of our faith. • She risked her life to hide the spies and save their life.

  6. Rahab Hides The Spies(She saves their lives)

  7. What Rahab reveals: • Her achievement. • She was spared & caused those attached to her to be spared also. 2. She ends up the mother of Boaz and becomes a part of the genealogy of Jesus.

  8. What can be learned from Rahab’slife? • You can start on the wrong side of the tracks in life and end up on the right side! • Where you end up in life is more important than where you began. • Humble beginnings can become awesome endings: it is all about choice.
