  4. most startling difference is the degree to which violence and warfare and the consequences of these distinguish highland and lowland groups from each other. • Yanomamo warfare is to go on raids. • The clubs used in these fights are 8 to 10 feet long.

  5. The future of the Yanomamo is now hanging in an easily broken balance. • The two most important factors in the cultural survival and future welfare of native people like the Yanomamo have to do with the land and health.
