  2. Lambaste-v-Attack usually with words. • The people in the stadium lambasted the Indians center for starting a fight, when he dropped his stick.

  3. Impasse-n-a situations in which no progress is possible. • With only one birdy left in the game we reached an impasse to beat the round, in order to go on the next level.

  4. Jargon-n-slang • The guy in the brown was using so much Jargon to the salesmen trying to sell him a car, even though he was confused.

  5. Deter-v-prevent, block • The offensive line deters the quarterback from getting hit, while dropping back the pass.

  6. Tenuous-adj.-weak thin • Sponge Bob is very tenuous like Mr. Abrams when they tried to lift weights at the gym.

  7. Vigorous-adj.-energetic, powerful. • Jack3d, the energy drink will make any professional athlete feel very vigorous after taking a scoop of it.

  8. Amity-n-friendship • In the cartoon Scooby Doo, Scooby and Shaggy have a amity that will never be broken.

  9. Gravitas-n-high seriousness • The sign of DO NOT ENTER shows a gravitas to not go in because something bad is ahead.

  10. Emphatic-adj.-assertive, confident. • The quarterback from the University of California feels really emphatic on the throw he is about to make, after reading the weak points of the defencive.

  11. Vehement-adj.-showing strong feeling; forceful, passionate, or intense. • The Seahawk's fans, also known as the 12 men are a very vehement crowd when it comes to football season.

  12. Preeminent-adj.-superior, outstanding, distinguished. • Donald Trump is a preeminent man money wise, but he is probably not a good person to have a amity with.

  13. Resurgence-n-rebirth • After the first Ice Age, the resurgence of new civilization of human beings begun.
