BULGARIAN MINERAL WATERS – CHARACTERISTICS • Depth origin • Product diversification: mineralization, physico-chemical composition and temperature • Mineral waters with temperature over 37o C prevail • Waters with mineralization of up to 1 g/l with excellent organoleptic qualities • Waters with mineralization from 1.5 to 5 g/l are used mainly for therapeutic purposes • Most of the mineral waters with mineralization of up to 1 g/l are suitable for bottling, everyday use and balneological therapy

  2. CLIMATE • Temperate climate with four typical seasons • Continental to temperate continental climate in North Bulgaria • Transitional continental with Mediterranean influence in South Bulgaria

  3. HEALING MUD FIELDS • 5 sediment mud lakes in Shabla, Touzlata in the region of Balchik, Varna, Pomorie, Bourgas • Peat and peat-spring fields in central and western Bulgaria: • Banya village • Baykal village • Marikostinovo village
