  6. Thoughts on Electives for next year: • If you did not take Studio in Art, DDP or a Music class this year, please try to do so in 10th grade. • If you took Studio in Art and liked it…how about Studio in Advertising Design or Essentials in Art? • If you took Computer Applications 1, 2 and liked them…how about others you didn’t take, Small Business Ownership, Website Design, Law in our Lives or Accounting? • If you took technology classes and liked them…how about any other tech class or vocational ed class? • How about considering FCS…The Art of Cooking and Baking, Global Foods, or Human Development 1 and 2?

  7. What happens during scheduling An appointment will be scheduled for you to meet with Ms. Rickert All appointments will be on display throughout the school and in your classrooms. I will send Remind msgs daily. Sign up @86ce4k. PLEASE REMEMBER! Scheduling appointments will begin in March. If you miss your appointment, we will schedule you at a later time.

  8. What’s next? After your appointment, you will receive a course verification sheet. Please review this with your parent/guardian and return it with a signature to the Counseling Office. This is a list of courses you’ve been recommended for and the electives you have chosen. This is not your bell schedule. Please look over the sheet and contact Ms.Rickert if there are any mistakes or changes.

  9. We assume that you will successfully complete all of your current classes! But… If you fail a course or Regents exam, sign up for summer school. It is free, and it keeps you on track for graduation. If you fail a required Regents exam, or class, you may be placed into an RtI class. If you are placed into RtI, you may have to forfeit one or more of your electives! SCHEDULING PROCESS

  10. During the summer… • Every attempt will be made to give you all the courses you want. • If you fail any required course & do not attend summer school, at some point, you will have to repeat that course or do credit recovery. • Your schedule will be mailed out around the third week of August.

  11. When your schedule arrives: • Email Ms. Rickert through the school website (or call 593-5400 option #3) as soon as possible if there are any errors or conflicts.
