  3. NIT Gate Improvements • Security, interchange, and transfer zone automation, personnel shifted to remote facility • Automation, appointment system and remote processing • Improves cargo velocity, safety & efficiency • Estimated combined project cost: $10 M • Includes $4.1 M software

  5. NIT CBP Interchange Improvements • Project clear of all utility conflicts; continuing roadway north of the truck canopy and starting RPM foundations • Estimated project cost : $2.2 M • Contractor: EV Williams • Project is currently 50% complete • Project completion by March 30, 2012

Craney Island Cross Dikes Stage 2A • USACE will begin Stage 2A December 17th • Placing foundation lifts of sand • Land will be visible this time next year • Contractor: Manson Construction Company • Project cost: $26.8 M in federal appropriations • No new VPA money will be appropriated • Low bid came in at $21.5 M • Project completion by April 2013
