  2. Mobility - part of the Bologna process • The higher education is key to society development • Need to moderniseour system of higher education • Increase the mobility of students and staff is one of the key parts • Mobility brings many benefits to individuals, institutions, and society

  3. Modernisation of our system of higher education • GoceDelcev University promotes moblity based on bilateral agreements • Second cycle student at the Faculty of Agriculture, UGD • Received grant from the TEMPUS programme

  4. Ghent University-leader in HE and research • One of the larger Flemishuniversities • More than 35,000 students, 7,700 staff members and 11 faculties with various study programmes • Internationalization is a very important priority for Ghent University • Pioneer in ECTS application • More than 10% of the students are from foreign countries

Application procedure • Faculty coordinator and Career Office and Alumni Club at UGD- Stip • Signing theLearning Agreement • The application itself took about 6 weeks • Acceptance as a guest/exchange student at Ghent University • Smooth integration at the Faculty of Bioscience engineering- Ugent

  6. Process of recognition of credits • Received my Transcript of Records and Credit Certificates right after the end of the term • The procedure for recognition of the credits earned,currently is ongoing at my home University - UGD

  7. Conclusions and suggestions • Satisfied with the exchange experience • Better compatibility between study programs should simplify the process of recognition of results • Helped me to benefit not only intelectually, but has broaden my perspectives on the world, as well • “All young people should have the opportunity to spend part of their educational pathway in another EU country by 2020” (Barroso)
