  2. What is PTE Academic Test? PTE Academic is a computer-based test of English for study abroad and immigration purposes.The PTE Academic test is for non-native speakers of English who need to demonstrate their level of academic English proficiency in Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking.

  4. How Does PTE Academic Test Differ from IELTS? Booking & Registration: You can Register/Pay Online or by phone up to 24 hours in advance for PTE Test while for IELTS by mail or in person with only some chosen institutes on-line. Registration may close a while before the test. Test Availability: PTE Academic Tests are organised weekly in all centres in Australia. In places of strong demand, tests are run 5+ days per week up to 3 times per day while IELTS conducts 48 fixed test sessions per year.

Format, Accuracy and Results Comparison Format: PTE Academic Test is divided into 3 Parts: Speaking & Writing, Reading, Listening while ILETS is divided into 4 Parts: Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking. Accuracy: PTE Academic is a computer based and 100% computer marked test while ILETS is paper based test and interview marked by examiners. Test Result: PTE Test result is available within 5 business days but ILETS result is usually posted after 13 calendar days of taking the test.
