  • Shape school leadership and management

  • Reinforce partnership

  • Promote innovations

DATES OF COACHING DONE TO H.T IN EACH SCHOOL BY SEO

GOOD STORIES

ADMINISTRATION:

Each school has the vision, mission and values through:

  • Strategic plan

  • Action plan

  • Annual budget

  • Imihigo(performance contract) of H.T + Teachers.

GOOD STORIES

PEDAGOGY/TEACHING:

  • Each H.T has an annual inspection plan to his/her teachers at least 2 times per month per teacher.

  • Termly and annual results are in software as REB does by grades from P1 to P6.

  • Same /common scheme of work in primary at sector level.

  • Same/common termly tests from P 1 to P3 at sector level,P4-S3 at District level.

Contributions from good partnership

CHALLENGES

Some schools don’t implement their visions, missions and values because they have low means to improve:

  • I.C.T Labs

  • Infrastructures

  • Modern equipment

  • Delegation of powers is not yet fully attributed according to roles and responsibilities.

  • Peer to peer learning is not yet in primary

  • Coaching and intervision is not in all schools.

RECOMMENDATIONS

  • MINEDUC-REB-VVOB should focus on old buildings financially.

  • Coaching, intervention and peer to peer learning should be integrated in all primary schools.
