  2. INTRODUCTION Coaching and intervision has been important in the following way: • Improve learners’ outcomes • Shape school leadership and management • Reinforce partnership • Promote innovations

  4. VISITS FROM VVOB DELEGATION TO H.T COACHING

  5. VISITS FROM VVOB DELEGATION + 14 SEOs FROM DIFFERENT DISTRICTS TO 3 SCHOOLS OF MUSANZE SECTOR.

  6. GOOD STORIES ADMINISTRATION: Each school has the vision, mission and values through: • Strategic plan • Action plan • Annual budget • Imihigo(performance contract) of H.T + Teachers.

  7. GOOD STORIES PEDAGOGY/TEACHING: • Each H.T has an annual inspection plan to his/her teachers at least 2 times per month per teacher. • Termly and annual results are in software as REB does by grades from P1 to P6. • Same /common scheme of work in primary at sector level. • Same/common termly tests from P 1 to P3 at sector level,P4-S3 at District level.

CHALLENGES Some schools don’t implement their visions, missions and values because they have low means to improve: • I.C.T Labs • Infrastructures • Modern equipment • Delegation of powers is not yet fully attributed according to roles and responsibilities. • Peer to peer learning is not yet in primary • Coaching and intervision is not in all schools.

  11. RECOMMENDATIONS • MINEDUC-REB-VVOB should focus on old buildings financially. • Coaching, intervention and peer to peer learning should be integrated in all primary schools.
