  2. Welcome The HRAcademy is pleased to have you as a webinar participant. Please use the information contained in this PowerPoint to become familiar with the many features and tools available to you.

  3. Getting Started Right from your desk, you can participate in a live on-line seminar utilizing your computer, telephone, and Internet connection. You will be able to view the presenter’s presentation in real-time, hear his or her voice, and ask questions by typing on your keyboard, or via the telephone.

  4. When you join the webinar, you will be prompted to dial into the teleconference.  HRAcademy toll-free conference #: 1-866-469-3239  You will be provided with a session number and an attendee number Once all participants have joined the session, we will ask each person to introduce themselves and the agency that they represent.   5. The Training Session Window The panels on the right side of your screen allow you multiple ways to interact during a session.

  6. You can collapse, minimize or close your panels.  To collapse or expand a panel, click on the arrow icon.  To minimize a panel, click on the minimize icon. The Training Session Window 7

  7. Panel alerts notify an attendee that there is activity on a panel that they have collapsed or minimized. The panel will alert you by changing to an orange color. The Training Session Window

  8. Giving Feedback During a Session The feedback tool bar on the Panelist tab allows attendees to communicate nonverbally without interrupting the flow of the training session.

  10. Giving Feedback During a Session Use the Green Check Mark or Red X to respond to yes/no questions No Yes

  11. Giving Feedback During a Session Use the emoticons to express your emotions. Although the presenter cannot see you, they still care about how you are doing.

  12. The Chat Window Use the Chat Feature to send a public chat that can be read by the whole class or to privately chat with the host, panelists, or one attendee at a time. This feature should be used at your discretion.

  13. The Chat Window To send chat messages, choose the Chat Panel, type your message in the box, select who you want to send the message to and click send.

  14. Using Q&A The Q&A panel allows you to type a question in the box, select who you want to send the message to and then click send. You can post your answer to another participant’s question. You can respond privately by clicking on that button.

  15. Responding to Polling Questions Provide your answers to the questions from the Presenter. There may be multiple choice questions or there may be open-ended questions.

  16. Once you have selected your response, click submit. The presenter has the ability to share the poll results And correct answers with the presenter. Responding to Polling Questions
