  5. THE NEW LOCAL GOVERNMENT CONTEXT AND HR PRIORITIES The 26 legacy councils each had differing HR priorities The 11 new councils are developing their own priorities – integrating from the 26

  6. THE NEW LOCAL GOVERNMENT CONTEXT AND HR PRIORITIES New SMT’s are being formed, however they need a structured approach to address the HR issues: Leading Change Bringing people with us Delivering council priorities

THE NEW LOCAL GOVERNMENT CONTEXT AND HR PRIORITIES Strategic Pillars Priorities we are discussing today: Leadership – needs to be developed at all levels Employee Relations – needs to deliver and promote engagement locally and regionally Performance Culture – councils need to deliver on and respond to the priorities for their communities
