P o receipts reflect date of actual posting instead of the session start date

P/O Receipts – Date of Posting

P/O receipts reflect date of actual posting instead of the session start date

    • What was done

    • The Purchase Order Receipts program now ensures that the date and time reflected against each transaction is based on the date of the actual posting, instead of the date at which the session started.

    • The current system date is used for the journal start date and the

    • inventory movement date under the following conditions:

      • The operator option: 'Set accounting date to system date' is selected for the operator

      • The operator has not manually changed the transaction date when running the Purchase Order Receipt program.

    • Within the Inventory Query program, the Date column of the Stock Movements list view indicates the calendar date of the movement, instead of the start date of the session.

    Why this was done

Purchase order receipts need to be identified by the date of the transaction instead of the date when the program was loaded.

This has particular relevance to a 24/7 environment where the processing of a

    transaction could span two days.

    ABC Inventory Classification

    • ABC classification is a method for determining level of control and frequency of review of inventory items

    • A Pareto analysis can be done to segment items into value categories depending on annual dollar volume

    • A Items – typically 20% of the items accounting for 80% of the inventory value

    • B Items – typically an additional 30% of the items accounting for 15% of the inventory value

    • C Items – Typically the remaining 50% of the items accounting for only 5% of the inventory value

Syspro seminar p g customers lae international hotel

    ABC Inventory Classification

    • The A items account for 60.5% of the value and 13.3% of the items

    • The B items account for 25% of the value and 26.7% of the items

    • The C items make up the last 14.5% of the value and 60% of the items

Allow unit quantity processing with traceable and batch serialized items

    Inventory – Unit Qty Processing

    What was done

You can now apply unit quantity processing for lot traceable and / or batch serialized items.

Note: This is not available for manual serialized items as the quantity processed is always one.

    Why this was done

The unit quantity processing feature that is available for stocked items is

particularly useful in the food industry where goods are handled as both single items and boxes of items.

Because the food industry also makes considerable use of lots, the unit quantity processing facility has been extended to traceable items.

    Error calculation

    % Error Calculation

    • SYSPRO decides which of the formulas to use, by calculating the error % between the formulas calculation and actual usage.

    • The screen entry “Number of Months to Simulate” controls this range.

    Error calculation1

    % Error Calculation

    • Forecasting starts back in time, the number of months selected.

When the amount of scrap is known for each parent part on each operation it is easier to record and trackscrap at parent part level than trying to account for it at a material level.

Syspro seminar p g customers lae international hotel

ATK – Due / Delivery Date

Whilst based on the Multi-Level Trial Kitting program, it is very important to note that the Advanced Trial Kitting program is date sensitive and takes the delivery /due date into consideration when calculating the gross requirements and the sources of supply and demand.

This means that any possible sources of supply or demand that do not fall within the selected time frameare excluded from the calculations.

Syspro seminar p g customers lae international hotel

    ATK – Alternate to MRP

    Why this was done

The Advanced Trial Kitting program provides an alternative to running the Requirements Planning Master ProductionSchedule program.

It achieves this by emulating the manual method used by a company to build a finished item.

Syspro seminar p g customers lae international hotel

    ATK – Options
