  1. 2 hrs, RT 2 hrs, 4 °C 4 hrs, RT 4 hrs, 4 °C 8 hrs, RT 8 hrs, 4 °C 12 hrs, RT 12 hrs, 4 °C 24 hrs, RT 24 hrs, 4 °C 48 hrs, RT 48 hrs, 4 °C Electropherogramsof tissue samples from liver 1, stored in varying conditions before freezing: tissues were kept for 2, 4, 8, 12, 24 or 48 hrs, at either room temperature (RT) or 4˚C, and subsequently snap-frozen in liquid nitrogen and stored at -80˚C. After RNA isolation, samples were analyzed with the bioanalyzer.
