  7. Technology Gap Innovation Fund • $750,000 of competitive commercialization grants per year for faculty • Each grant ~ $50,000 • To date ~ $3 million has been awarded • Funding has led to startup formation and licensing: • Smart Sunglasses Technology • Algae for Biofuel

  8. Entrepreneurs and Mentors In Residence • Business advisors for market development • Chair, Board Members • Serial entrepreneurs as CEOs/Cofounders • Coaching researchers on role to play in startup process • Improve target market identification and go to market strategy
