1. A April April is the best month of the twelve. Besides that it is my birth month, it also has a holiday that I love and take part in every year since I was old enough. April Fool’s Day is a sick holiday that shows what kind of person I am. And that person is a relaxed person that loves to have fun. April 26 is my day and that’s why April is better than the eleven other months. April is also an amazing month because it is the start of one of my favorite sports which is baseball. This is also the playoff time for my other favorite sport basketball. April starts the best time of baseball which is the beginning of the season and takes place during playoff tie in the NBA. April is my month and it is so important to me that I put it in my Alphabetical Autobiography assignment.
2. Broker B is the letter for the profession I want to have when I get older. I want to be a Broker, preferably for a big time brokerage company such as Merrill Lynch or Citi Group, after they get out of their financial trouble of course. In college I want to find an amazing internship with one of these corporations, and that will hopefully land me a full time job doing what I love. I can’t give away too much information because that will ruin the future of my project. All I can say is that I want to major in finance and stocks are two topics that I find extremely interesting. The stock market is something that I follow daily and if I can one day, I would even love to start my own brokerage company. I’ll give a little bit of background information about what brokers actually do. We take on the common persons stock portfolio trade, sell and buy stocks and take a percentage of the earnings. It’s basically legal gambling. B
3. Chelsea Ten years ago before we built our house we were given options on which model we liked, my mother fell in love with the Chelsea model. So for the past 10 years we have been living in the Chelsea. Without the Chelsea I wouldn’t have met the friends I did, and I am grateful for my parents moving here. It all starts off with Chelsea the name of our house where I spend a lot of my time it all ends this year. My house is currently for sale and I am also going to college next year and I won’t be in the same house anymore. My house is a huge part of me and it all ends in the year summer 2009. C
4. Dolphins One of my favorite mammals in the ocean blue is the Dolphin. However, Dolphins are the D in my project because they are my favorite AFC football team . With the best turn around from one season to the next have made the Dolphins playoff eligible for the 2008-2009 season. They won 1 game and lost 15 and this year they have 11 wins and 5 loses and they also won their division. Their team should be good for years to come because of player like Ronnie Brown and new acquisitions Jake Long and Chad Pennington. They also have standout players like ted Ginn Jr., Anthony Fasano, Joey Porter and Ricky Williams. With the phins having a first round home game they shouldn’t dissapoint against the Baltimore Ravens. These Dolphins are amazing. D
5. Entourage Every Sunday night I get into the routine where I my favorite show on TV. None other than HBO’s finest Entourage. This is a show directed by Marc Walberg and is about the life of a fictional actor Vincent Chase and the struggles he and his Entourage go through in the movie industry. They face struggles both financially and socially but they usually come out on top. They highs and lows of the show keeps the average Entourage fanatics hooked and intrigued. I like this show for numerous reasons. Not only because it is chill time for me and my oldest brother Alberto but this show is just the crack to a TV addict. This show on channel 82 at 10:00 is an amazing way to start off the week. E
6. Frisbee My Sunday afternoons consist of rigorous fatiguing games of ultimate frisbee. The name of the league is Man I Love Frisbee and my team is awesome . My first season in the League I was rookie of the year runner up I was also awarded team captain my second season. I was top 10 in total points my second season out of 83 members. My plans with frisbee include playing net year at the college club level. This is my second favorite sport but it is my it is my best sport. I plan on playing for SCAM next year U Albany’s team. F
7. Giants One of my favorite NFL teams are the NY Giants. They play like Giants on the field and are the 2007 08 Super bowl world champs. They currently have the best record in the NFC with 12 wins and 4 losses. They also won their division which even though they were champions of the NFL they didn’t win their division last year. Their team should be good for years to come because of player like Eli Manning and new rookie acquisitions. They also have standout players like Brandon Jacobs, Justin Tuck, Antonio Pierce and offensive line star Chris Snee. With the G-men having a first Round bye gives the team a chance to rest and prepare for the winner of the Vikings and Eagles. G
8. HARRY The letter H is reserved for my step dad Harry. We have lived together for as long as I can remember. He has been my coach, mentor, and a father figure obviously. We argue very much but that’s because we are almost the same person and both of us cant ever be wrong. For years Harry has been my basketball coach and supports everything that I do. He has also helped me make my decision to pursue business in college. I love him very much and I do show it. H
9. IPOD My ipod is probably the most used electronic besides my cell phone. I have my ipod on my speaker when I sleep when I’m in the shower also. At diving meets Frisbee games parties gatherings my ipod is usually on the speaker. I love listening to music and the best way to have 1000 songs on one device is to have an ipod. Apple’s greatest invention has made them billions of dollars and it is well deserved. I remember how I excited I was when I got my first ipod the first year they came out. I also remember that I have been using it non stop and I also have an ipod touch that I too use non stop now. I
10. JOHN and Alberto The J in my project is for both of my brothers John and Alberto. My best friends who I can tell anything to and my buddies that I can just watch football or play Xbox against. Although we argue every day we are together is always forgotten quickly. John is the middle child and the athlete. Alberto is the strength both physically and mentally. When John and I are together we often argue but jokingly and we also play fight. Alberto and I spend time by working out and watching the Knicks, Giants, and the Yankees We all keep each other in check and we look out for each other also J
11. Kevin My little cousin Kevin is the man! He is 8 years old but acts much older. He can get annoying but I still hang with him, and when I say “chill” he does just that. We play basketball together and video games. We also play fight everyday and sometimes it gets kind of serious. When we fight I treat him like I was treated by my older brothers and I liked being treated that way and he does too. I need to make him tougher. He is my buddy because I look out for him and I will always do that. K
12. Lime Wire If you know me then you know that music is one of the most important things in my life. Therefore Limewire is the L in my project, the source of where I get 90% of my music. I download hundreds of songs every year with different genres and styles, but Limewire is where it begins. From Country to electronic to rock to rap are the various styles that can be found in my library. Music is the main thing that keeps me focused in my life and keeps me Robby Martinez. Before any games or sporting events of mine music is on. Diving meets and Frisbee games are the times where I have my headphones on and I am listening to the music. The pregame without music would be impossible to do well. 1000 plus songs would cost a lot of money but with the best music downloading software it is free and speedy downloads. I am very thankful to the creaters of Limewire the great. L
13. “Make the World Go Round” 1. Nas is the performer and the writer of “Make the world go round” 2. The song’s genre falls into rap 3. I think he chorus deals with Nas hanging out with his friends and that’s what makes the world go round. 4. I like the song and the lyrics are much deeper than they appear. 5. “Toasting with my entourage” This reminds me of Sunday nights watching Entourage my favorite TV show. “Top down chrome spinning” this is how I see myself in a few years with a nice car and “ballin” 6. This song makes me feel like helping people and sharing my food too. I don’t know why though, it also reminds me of hanging out with friends. M
14. NCAA 09 The game that I am extremely ill at is NCAA 09. NCAA 09 is the best football game for xbox360. I will play anyone anytime and I also play for money too. I plan on joining tournaments and I like playing people online as well as playing with my friends at my house. I like this game for many reasons, for one thing I am good at it, and another thing is I can just play it again and again and not get bored. This game comes out with a new game every year but NCAA football 09 I like because I have stepped up my game and separated myself from all the people I play against. The team I play with is Pitt and I like their offense because the combination of me and Pitt is unstoppable. They are overall 79 which is not great but I manage well. N
15. Obno Obnowas the nickname I was given when I was younger. It has faded away however, but this was a huge part of my childhood. Obno was my nickname because I was an attention hungry obnoxious child and the name comes out every once in a while if I do something dumb. All of my family called me obno, but I didn’t mind at all because I was oboxious and proud. But now I am more matured but I still have some more maturing to do, since I will be off to college next year. At my wedding I’m sure my stepdad and mom will bring up the embarrassing times of when I was called Obno, ad I will just respond, “Hell yes I was” o
16. POP This page is dedicated to my dad, whom I call pop. My dad is a great guy and I love him a lot. I enjoy the short time we spend together and when watch the NY teams on TV. We also get together and eat dinner a couple times a month and just B.S about girls or anything. Every person that has ever met me or him says we look identical. My dad just says “ yeah but bob is better looking” and I agree with that statement. p
17. Queen Q Q is for Queen and that is both what and who my mother is. My ma is named Reina which is Queen in Spanish. That is exactly what she is, the person that runs the castle at home and the person I love the most in this world. “She is my biggest fan as I am to her”
18. Raiders is the name used to identify members of the NRHS Sports teams. All my life I have been a Raider and my Senior year is where it ends. But being a North Rockland Red Raideris more than a one time thing you are a Raider for life. I have been showing my school spirit by supporting the teams in our school attending football games, hockey games, swimming and diving meats are great ways to support the Red Raiders. I have been a part of the X-Country, Track and Field and Swimming and Diving Teams. From the time I was two years old I have been part of the Red Raider Community, watching my older brothers play Pop Warner football and then watching them participate in different sporting events. 19. Superman Multiple Sclerosis is a disease in which nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord have tremendous difficulty communicating with each other. Alan Weinstein has this disease. I was aware of this but I didn’t know exactly how this would be such a detriment to my life. Alan is 60 years old now and has been one of my family’s best friends for years now. He is one of the brightest and most dynamic personalities I have ever met in my 17 year life. Alan has encountered every possible struggle that any American can endure. His wife passed and he is also having a hard time controlling his MS symptoms. Just imagine how frustrating that can be not being able to control your body parts. Alan also experiences shortness in breath and difficulty speaking at times. The impact that Alan has had in my life is so huge than an essay simply cannot convey it all because of his determination and his way of living life to the fullest like all humans SHOULD do. Every year it seems Alan’s life becomes more pointless but then I think to myself and I wonder how I could be such an idiot. Sundays are times when Alan and I converse about the stock market and other business like affairs. We also do Alan’s physical therapy, which involves Nintendo Wii. He cannot play that well since he is in a wheel chair and has slow moving body parts, but we both enjoy it a lot, when either of us loses it turns into a laughing match. One thing that I love to do in life is make people smile and when Alan smiles it makes me feel warm. Alan has impacted my life because he is always seeing the good side of things and because he has influenced me to become a business major in college. My family and his daughter is sadly the only family that he has and that is the depressing part of his life. When we have Thanksgiving dinner I always make sure to spend sometime with Alan and shoot the breeze. He has also been a huge influence on my life because if I were in his position I wouldn’t be so optimistic. But he is the exact opposite of pessimistic and he enjoys and lives life to the fullest. Alan has so many obstacles and challenges that get in his way which reminds me of one of my favorite super heroes. The way that Alan maintains his composure and always manages to laugh or smile despite it all, is one of the reasons why Mr. Weinstein is referred to the Lex Luther nemesis. It is obvious that he has a lot of struggles but it’s nothing that Alan can’t handle. He continues on striding towards living life to the fullest and Alan always comes out on top through it all. S
20. Travel Traveling is one thing that truly brings me joy in life. I love traveling for many reasons, the best way to learn about other countries cultures and ways of living is best to experience first hand. I like meeting new people and I like seeing how people live in other countries. I have been to Italy France, Spain, Canada and the Dominican Republic twice each. I have also been to Mexico, and Puerto Rico. I am going to continue to travel when I get older and give my kids an experience that not everyone has the chance to do. I understand that my travels have given me an edge in doing anything I want to do, like finding a job or simply having an intelligent conversation with someone. I also plan on broadening my résumé with places I have visited. I would like to visit Greece and I would also like to visit Israel too. I am intrigued with travel and I would love to go to the land down under also. T
21. Universal Studios Ever since my first visit to the amazing place in Orlando Florida, I knew I would be back more times. The Portofino bay Hotel is a special hotel that provides transportation on a boat to the park. The roller coasters and rides are the best in the country and this is the most fun amusement park in the country. The park is amazing because it has a boardwalk theme with awesome restaurants lining it. I am a huge fan of rides and thrillers and this park contains many. The best rides I recommend are Spider Man, Dueling Dragons, and the Incredible Hulk are some pretty cool rides. U
22. VBAD I am using VBAD to talk about a sport that I have learned to love. VBAD stands for an AAU team run by Victor Burne. Victor Burne Athletics Diving is the acronym. I plan on Diving for this team next month. I started diving my junior year in high school and I now love the sport. The sport involves a mental balance and composure is also very important. I love the thrill of learning a new dive and the pressure that is on my when 100+ people are watching Me at a meet. I need to make a huge decision with diving at the end of the year, if I want to continue diving at the collegiate level or if I am done with it for good. This will be one of the biggest decisions I will have to make in my life. I love this sport a lot but college wont be the same if I am a college athlete. V
23. Weezy Wayne My favorite Rapper along with 50% of the United States Rappers are Lil Wayne, because he is the best. I have about 250 lilweezy songs on my computer and I listen to all of them. He raps about everything and he presents it so well. He is the illest rapper alive and most original rapper which makes him unique and better. His voice is also extremely distinctive. Weezy has the best beats and lyrics and before sporting events he is on my ipodplayinin my ears. Everywhere I go I listen to him whether it is a party or a drive in the car lilweezy is on and he is the greatest rapper alive. The amount of hit songs he made would be close to impossible to top. w
24. Xbox, One way for me to keep myself entertained and have a lot of fun in the process is playing Xbox 360. I play whenever I’m bored or just in the mood. It’s a way for me to make me feel superior to other people. I like playing Halo NCAA football, NCAA basketball, and NHL which are all amazing games. Xbox is also something I use as a getaway street. Two things I love to do is playing XBOX and listening to music and I do it all the time. I also do other things on my 360 like watching DVDs and I also download game demos that I want to try. X
25. Yankees All my life I have been a New York Yankee fan. 26 time world series champs and about to make it 27 next year. This year the team added 3 all stars to the team that was already filled with all stars. Standout performances next year will be necessary from players like A-Rod Mark Teixeira CC Sabaithia, and Chien Mien Wang. This team is probably my favorite professional NY team. I love this team so much that in February I am getting the tattoo of the Yankees logo on the back of my arm. I cant get it yet because I am on the swimming and diving team and the chlorine would ruin it. Anyway my family loves the NYY and I do too. You can bet that my kids will love them also. Y
26. Zippies A Zippie is someone that is heavily interested in technology, like myself. I love being the person that has the cool new electronic, like a game system, or a cell phone. Technology and electronics is something that I follow, if NBC is having a specialist come on the show and present new electronics, you can bet that I am watching it. My gadgets: PS3 Xbox 360 Wii, ipod touch, and hopefully soon the iphone, Z
