  2. 環境氣候特徵 • 1.世界上氣溫最低的地方： • 　　南極大陸的日照強度頗大，但是因太陽輻射能量中約有百分之八十被雪白的冰雪反射掉，又加上大陸標高較高所以即使在最暖月，海岸地帶平均氣溫仍為攝氏 0℃左右，內陸地帶更低到攝氏零下二十至三十度；在最冷月，海岸地帶平均氣溫降為攝氏零下二十至三十度，內陸地帶降為攝氏零下四十到七十左右。 • 2.南極的特殊氣象--西風帶（南緯四十度到六十度）所謂的西風帶，就是在副熱帶高壓帶與副極地低壓帶之間，大氣主要向東運動的地帶。其西風的威力一般在四到六級，七級以上的大風出現頻率30％。有時，驟然形成的風暴時速可達三十節，相當於颱風級的氣旋。
