  2. What is the AOR? • Route into teaching • Teachers’ Standards (2012) • 12 week assessment period • No training • Mentor assesses • UW final assessor & quality assurer

  3. Who is it for? • Experienced but unqualified teachers • Whole classes • 2-3yrs experience • 2 schools • 2 consecutive age phases • Managed classes i.e. planning, teaching & assessment • National Curriculum/EYFS

  4. Entry requirements • An honours degree (2:2 or above) • Grade C or equivalent in English, Maths & Science (Primary only) • Skills tests • 2 years experience • 2 different institutions • Cost

  5. Assessment period • At least 50% timetable • Whole class (15+ pupils) • Self evaluation/reflection • Assessment plan • Final portfolio & commentary • Mentor support e.g. lesson observations • UW tutor support
