  3. AI for NPC • Non-Playing Characters • Usually ‘friendly’ character that you can interact with • Buy / see items • Get directions or advice • Be assigned quests / missions • Rescue daughter • Kill dragon • Etc.

  4. AI for Monsters 1 • Monsters • Someone to fight with • Zombie • Dragon • Tiger • ‘Monster’ imaginary (or newly created) character

  5. AI for Monsters 2 • Considerations: • Classes of monsters • Can inherit characteristics!? • Types of monsters • Wide variety  more interesting game • Levels of strength • VERY different character type!
