  3. Grading… • Daily Gradesare worth 40% of your average. • Test Grades are worth 60%of your average. • Daily participation is key to success. • Students are expected to to be involved in daily activities and discussions. • Your grade will reflect the effortand dedicationthat you put into it.

  4. Late Work • All work is due on the assigned due date • Late 1 day = Minus 15grade points • Late 2 days = Minus 30points • Late 3 days = Minus 50 points • After that…it’s a ZERO!

  5. Incomplete Work • I cannot grade incomplete work. • Incomplete assignments will receive a reduction of {– 50points}or more. • Late penalties apply.

  6. Prohibited Behavior… • Refusal to work • Refusal to clean up • Wasting or abusing art materials, tools, etc.

  7. Prohibited Behavior… • Tampering with or causing intentional harm to another student’s artwork/property • Teasing or “making fun” of another student’s artwork.

  8. Prohibited Behavior… • Getting out of your seat before the bell rings • Putting any art materials on yourself or another student • Making a mess on purpose

  9. Art Room Rules • ALWAYS Respect ONE ANOTHER. • PROPERLY USE SUPPLIES, TOOLS AND MATERIALS AS DEMONSTRATED. • COME PREPARED TO WORK with pencil or necessary supplies.

  10. Art Room Rules • SIT IN YOUR ASSIGNED SEAT AND WORK ON THE ASSIGNED TASK. • MOVE AROUND THE ROOM ONLY WHEN NECESSARY.

  11. Art Room Rules • LISTENCAREFULLY TO INSTRUCTIONS. • Work quietly{No Socializing} • Use your time wisely. • CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF.

  12. Clean-Up!! Clean-Up!!! Everybody cleans up!!! • If you are in this classroom, you are expected to clean up. • All supplies should be clean/dry and returned to their proper place {intact and complete}. • All work areas should be clean/dry and free of mess. {This includes your work area, your group's work area, sinks, counters and the floor} • No one will be released until the room is clean. • Grade points will be deductedif you don’t clean!

  13. Tardies You are tardy if: You enter the classroom after the tardy bell rings.

  14. Food and Drinks If you eat food in my class, you will get a referral, not a warning. This notice is your warning!

  15. Cell Phonesand other electrical devices… Beware If I see or hear it, I reserve the right to take it up.

  16. Art Room Rules • Be CREATIVEand use your IMAGINATION. • ALWAYS DO YOUR BEST.

  17. Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo • All students are required to participate. • You are required to take 5 quality photos of western subjects, by yourself. You may not use a photo that was taken by anyone else. • Photos are worth 20 pts.each and are a TEST GRADE. They will be used to create rodeo art. Photos are due on or before Monday, September 22nd..

  18. Returning the Acknowledgement Forms • Acknowledgement forms are due back completed and signed, on or before:Friday, August 29th • They are worth 100 points/daily grade.
