  4. Member Disadvantage • Every $1.00 in credit union taxes could wipe out $10.00 in member benefits. • A potential increase in fees for members. • 96 million members could be impacted.

  5. Tax Threat: Working Against Credit Unions • 86% of voters are unaware of Credit Unions’ tax status. • Banks have an opening to claim that Credit Unions’ tax exempt status is unfair. • Idea that taxing Credit Unions could help fix the deficit.
