  2. Some old, some new • HEA requirements focus on transparency and accountability • Clarifies some existing requirements • Compliance is not limited to financial aid office • “Strings” attached to Title IV eligibility

  3. Collaborative issues • Information to be made available to prospective and current students • Agreements with other states • Net price calculator • Communication (some info can be posted on web or emailed, others must be delivered}

  4. Who does what? • UAH formed compliance committee • Include all stakeholders (financial aid, admissions, institutional research, housing, police, dean of students, counsel) • Chaired by Office of Counsel • Committee emphasizes collaborative effort and makes sure we’re “speaking the same language”

  5. Responsibilities “matrix” • Assign tasks to respective areas with contact info and related links • Set compliance deadlines and review process • Create compliance website • “Three click” rule
