Black Saturday. Black Saturday took place on the 7 th of February 2009 and went all the way through too the 14 th of march. It left 173 people killed and 414 injured. This sandstorm hit Perth on the 8 th of January at 7:30 am. The storm gusts reached 120km/h.

  1. Black Saturday. Black Saturday took place on the 7th of February 2009 and went all the way through too the 14th of march. It left 173 people killed and 414 injured.

  2. This sandstorm hit Perth on the 8th of January at 7:30 am. The storm gusts reached 120km/h.

  3. A series of around 20 photos 'stacked' on top of each other (each photo is a 30-second exposure) shows the amount of lightning strikes at Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle in NSW, over a 20-minute period during an electrical storm on November 26, 2012.

  4. Queensland floods hit on the 19th of January 2013 taking 4 lives.

  5. Hurricane Hugo happened on the 22nd of September 1989, an additional 7 people were killed.
