  3. Atrophy • Decrease in size, waste away

  4. Congenital • Acquired during fetal development or existing at birth

  5. Lesion • Alteration in tissue due to injury or infection

  6. Systemic • Affecting the whole system or whole body

  7. Coprophagy • Ingestion or eating of feces

  8. Diuresis • Excessive discharge of urine

  9. Chronic • Long in duration, opposite of acute

  10. Wet Tail • Serious intestinal disease in hamsters

  11. Test Bite • A bite by the hamster to investigate
