  2. Do you need to download/upload at least 1MB files from time to time? Would you like to use WWW interface towork with the system? Do you need to make your file transfer secure? Would you like to upload/download files with the maximum possible speed of the communication link you used? Would you like to receive e-mails reporting you about your files transfers? It is time for big files IF “YES” –SECURE FILE EXCHANGE IS THE ANSWER But if you prefer to use traditional FTP - the system will also work for you!

  3. WWW interface with your company LOGO. You can appoint your own administrator for your part of SecureFileExchange Server. You can exchange files inside your company, and you can send/receive files to/from any person outside the company. Your files will be automatically deleted from the system according to parameters you defined (number of downloads, time to keep files in the system). Your transfers are encrypted by 128bit key. You can send files with the size limit defined by your administrator. useful features

  4. E-mail: - will add more bytes to your files. Sometimes this “add-on” can be up to 30-50%. You think you sent 1 Mb file – but in a reality it can be up to 1,5 Mb!!! E-mail: - as a rule mail server administrators restrict size of attachments to e-mails. This means that to send 10 Mb file can be abig problem. E-mail: - with public E-mail servers you have no guarantee for delivery and security of your files. FTP: - it is better to use FTP-clients. Not everybody likes it. You have to have some basic knowledge how to work with FTP servers. FTP: - it is an absolutely open protocol. There is no any guarantee for security, you have to use a secure FTP. Why not to use “old good friends”

  5. The system has special features for users who has to work through communication lines with a big latency (satellite communication lines). To work well through communication lines with a big latency, big jitter and high level of errors (compared with land lines) it is better to use a special protocol. Patent pending protocol “FileCatalyst” (using so called “Digital Fountain Codes”) can serve you communication sessions with SecureFileExchange, if you need it. A small “plug-in” (automatically downloaded) to your standard browser will open the gate to “FileCatalyst” protocol for you. And something special for: BGAN, fleet bb AND vsat users.

  10. Group – a number of registered users (Members) who can interchange files between themselves. Visitor – a person who is not a member of a Group. A Member (or User) of a Group can send files to any Visitor. A Visitor will receive e-mail with the instruction how to collect files from SecureFileExchange. A Visitor can send files to a Member of a Group. To do it a Visitor should apply for an invitation.   11. Any Company can have one or several Groups. The Administrator can allow or disable the possibility to interchange files between Groups. Any Member of a Group can see only files addressed to him/her. You can protect any file downloads by password. The recipient will receivepassword via e-mail or verbally. Sending files a Member of Group has several options to instruct SFE how to handle files: • Delete files after N downloads; • Delete files after the indicated date; • Inform sender about every download; • Set password to secure access to download files. • A Member of a Group has access to “User Profile” menu and can edit password, e-mail address, type of BGAN terminal used. • A Member of a Group can send files to all Members of a Group with one “click”.   18. “File cATALYST” part of SFE You can use all the service functions of the HTTPs part of SFE and plus: FileCatalyst FileCatalyst will ensure the maximum possible speed for download/upload files. FileCatalyst will provide you with the ability to resume download/upload in case of un-expected interruptions of communication sessions. FileCatalyst will provide the optimum operation over satellite lines (big latency, jitter and high level of lost packets).

  19. “FTP” part of SFE You can use traditional FTP service to download/upload files: FTP SFE administrator will provide disk space and create accounts. SFE administrator will provide you with a list of recommended FTP-clients to work through satellite lines. You can use your own favorite FTP-client. SFE guarantees you reliable non-stop service 24/7/365.

Menu “Upload” (HTTPS and FileCatalyst) After you Uploaded files, the system asks for instructions to deliver files You can give the name to your package of files You can give description of the package here • Your instructionsto the system how deliver files: • Set date, when the system should delete files; • -invite Visitors and Members to download files; • Set password; • - Set number of downloads for this file; Package – set of files you sent to SFE. You can give its own name to this package. Press“Save & Update”button to send e-mails inviting to download your files.

  32. URL – how to use it With “Upload” menu you have an option - URL. By using this option, you can use SFE as an engine to distribute, for example, files from your company file store (company FTP server)

  33. URL – how to use it Visit your company FTP. Copy the link of the file you would like to distribute. Insert copied link to the URL field and press “Upload” SFE will download the file and ask your instructions for delivery. The file will not be downloaded to your PC. You just use SFE as an agent for file distribution.

Enter Subject and additional text if needed. The system will send e-mail(s) with your invitation to upload file to all e-mails. The list of sent invitations and their status. E - mail E -mail Your colleague will receive e-mail with invitation to upload file(s). The link will be included.

Useful tips - how to work with SFE system When you send invitation toa Visitor, please remember that the text of invitation will be sent in the same language (Russian or English), which you use at the moment you send an invitation. Your Invitation must be used by a Visitor within 3 days (Invitation’s lifetime is 72 hours). When you are preparing to upload a file, pay your attention to the maximum available file size (you can see this information on the top part of the “Send” page). If you want to send several small files, we recommendyou to pack them into one archive file. If you started to upload file – you must wait till completion. If you go to another SFE page during transmission – upload will be aborted.

  44. Useful tips - how to work with SFE system If you are SFE user, then you can upload file and save it in the system for further distribution in the future. This procedure is called – “To make a file personal”. When you uploaded file into the SFE, system will ask your instructions for file delivery – here just press “Update” button. File will be saved and moved to “Saved” folder of your SFE area. If Visitor obtained the invitation to download file, but he does not have a possibility to do this immediately - system will keep information for him (if there were no other instructions from the sender ) during 14 days. Maximum file size for uploading to SFE is: - 1 Gb using HTTPS protocol; - 2 Gb using FileCatalyst algorithm. More Questions ? sfe@marsat.ru
