  1. Academics: Math: Students are working with geometry and will be moving into order of operations and algebraic expressions and equations. We will continue with whole number and decimal computation spiral review. Reading: Students are working on reflections and will start a second novel. Students should continue working toward the Power Bash. It is due on November 2nd. Science: Students will be studying earth science such as earthquakes, plate tectonics, volcanoes, weathering and erosion, and the rock cycle. Social Studies: Students will continue to work on map skills and continue to concentrate on learning the northeast region of the United States. Writing: Students are working to complete their first five-paragraph essay. They continue to improve their editing and revising skills.
