  1. What’s LOVE got to do with it?

  2. “Unremitted personal attention” …Ceaselessly engaging others for the cause

  3. “We must become fully formed disciples of Christ who make disciples, if we are to see the kingdom of God made visible and tangible.”

  4. “Many Christians across the globe are not living up to the fullness of what Jesus has called them into, to be disciples who make disciples. Is this is fruitless rebellion and the mark of a calloused heart?”

  5. “In order to live in the fullness of what Jesus has called us into, in order to see the vision of the church come to fruition, we have to understand what it means to be disciples who make disciples, loving God and loving others without remittance.”

  6. Love: The Great Command Matthew 22:37-3937 Jesus replied:“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”

  7. 1 John 4:17“This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus.”

  8. 2 Corinthians 5:14-15“For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. 15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.”

  9. Disciples Make Disciples: The Great Commission Matthew 28:16-2016 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

  10. John 15:15 “everything that I have learned from my Father, I have made known to you.” John 5:19, “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.”

  11. Luke 6:40 “Everyone who is fully trained will be like his teacher.”

  12. “It is not enough that the nations hear the message; they must also respond with the same wholehearted commitment which was required of those who became disciples of Jesus during his ministry.” – R.T. France

  13. “Discipleship is the process of becoming like Jesus in both character and competency in a relational and directive context, where the discipler offers his or her life as a embodied example to imitate.” – Ben Sternke

  14. John 15:8“This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.” John 15:16“16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. 17 This is my command: Love each other.”

  15. In order to live in the fullness of what Jesus has called us into, to be disciples who make disciples… we must first BECOME disciples! • Meet Jesus (introductory information and exposure) • Get to know Jesus (Who is he and what has he done? The point of belief or unbelief.) • Count the cost of following Jesus (Mark 8:34-35, Luke 9:57-62) • Choose to become a disciple or not • Find someone to disciple you

  16. In order to become a congregation of disciples who make disciples… We must understand that BEING produces DOING (making disciples is an obedience that comes from a heart of love for the Father)

  17. John 14:15“If you love me, keep my commands.” John 13:34“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

  18. In order to live in the fullness of what Jesus has called us into, to be disciples who make disciples… we demonstrate Love for our neighbors by introducing them to Christ and intentionally discipling them

  19. Settling the matter at the cross…
