  9. What Social Studies Means to Me At first, Social Studies for me was something that only deals with the events that happened in the past (history), but as I study Social Studies in a more complicated or deeper way , I ‘ve seen that it’s not just the study of past events. It is also the study of our present lives , the current events around us, the type of society we have, our economy, the condition of our environment, facts about the earth etc. In a shorter definition, Social Studies for me is learning about our lives,– on how we survived and lived this way. - Meryll http://www.oakley.com/images/static/brochures/ourlife/ourlife_main.jpg http://www.englishresourc-es.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/Word-and-history.jpg
