6. Racial Socialization • Learning ones culture and how to live in it • Refers more to minorities group • Can lead to discrimination • Can also have harmful mental side effects • Low self esteem • Depression • Hopelessness • Anxiety • Risk behavior

7. Family • Most basic start of socialization • Foundation for civilized behavior • Teaches morals • Body control • Emotional control • Lifetime impact to self esteem and identity
