By increasing students' vocabulary and their knowledge of sentence patterns, the course focuses on speaking and writing in coherent and well-formed paragraphs. By the end of the semester students should be able to 1) carry out rather fluent conversations about daily activities, 2) write compositions of 300-500 characters on subjects of their daily life and personal experiences.
