Housekeeping Exploring New Territories Please be sure to sign in on two sheets Todays Professional Development is worth 10points: but you must do a follow up activity, and do an online survey to indicate student achievement (link on PD resources) There is a lot of material, so please be respectful of the presenters and your colleagues when speaking.   12. Let’s Build A Kid Exploring New Territories In groups of 4-5, use a chart paper and markers to create your “Student” Draw the student in the middle of the page List students strengths, limitations, Learning style, physical/cognitive abilities, and social skill levels.

Universal Design for LearningStrategies Exploring New Territories Start with manageable curriculum units, Identify the goals of the unit, Identify what students need to do to show mastery, Determine what the instructional barriers are for specific students, Determine what tools would help this, and Determine how goals, methods and assessments can be adjusted
