  2. Welcome to RELA-Week at a Glance August 27-31, 2012

  3. DO NOW:My Best T • Draw and color your name on a picture of a plain T-shirt on paper. • Decorate the T-Shirt any way you choose (appropriately). • Include info such as hobbies, favorite sports team, your family members, etc. • When finished, place your T-shirt on the wall in the hall

  4. Timed Writing/Quick Write:“Dear Me,” (20 minutes) • Write a letter to yourself about what YOU expect from 8th grade: • LENGTH: 1 FULL PAGE (NOT DONE UNTIL YOU HAVE A PAGE) • Include: • What you would like to learn this year, • Your likes/dislikes from last year, • What you are looking forward to the most. • Your fears/worries/anxieties about this year. • What you are looking forward to this year. • Turn in your letters to Mrs. Mustainor Mrs. Syska. • You will get them back at the end of the year!

  5. Break the Ice #3- Human Scavenger Hunt • Get a Human Scavenger sheet . • Now see if you can solve the clues by walking around the room and asking your peers questions from the list. You will have 2 minutes! • Object: try to match as many blanks as you can from your peers!
