Guiding Principles • Avoid the following: • Overload (if possible) • Full-time faculty teaching in the summer (unless annualized) • Stand-alone courses • Cross-listed or equivalent courses • Provide efficient and effective degrees • Get on board with the Transfer Model Curriculum (TMC) in Kinesiology • Provide efficient and effective courses • Generate the most FTES • Maximize facility use (space) and equipment • Offer courses with more than one purpose • Revise the Two-Year Plan • Trim the number of sections offered per course • Maintain pathways for students

SCHEDULING guidelines • Facilities • Oak – Primary • Alder – Secondary • Symons & Tennis Courts • Off-campus sites to adequately cover the service area • Days/Times • Minimize weekend offerings • Minimize Friday offerings • Offer activity courses for 1 unit (not 1.5 units)… On Board with TMC! • Balance Curriculum • Schedule curricular offerings throughout the week • Face-to-Face and Online offerings • Lecture and Activity offerings • Rotate offerings each semester and/or every two years

  13. NEXT STEPS -Review -Rethink -Reshape The Two-Year Plan Questions to ask (and explore) in our area… 1)Could 5% be cut from the current fall and spring offerings? 2) Is it possible (or not) to cut10%? 3) What about 15%?
