Sanctions

Behaviour at School

Sadly, sometimes some of us

do not behave as we should.

We are bringing in a new system which will be followed in all classes.

Traffic Light System

Behaviour at School

Everyone starts

each day on green.

Remember: Raffle for

staying on green.

Traffic Light System

Behaviour at School

If someone is not behaving as they should then they will be given a

verbal reminder.

Traffic Light System

Behaviour at School

If the behaviour continues, the

child will be moved to amber.

If a child is on amber then they will miss their next playtime although they will be given the opportunity to earn their way back to green.

Traffic Light System

Behaviour at School

If anyone is moved to amber

twice in a week then an amber slip

will be sent home.

Traffic Light System

Behaviour at School

Example of behaviours that lead to Amber:

  • Ignoring instructions

  • Answering back to an adult

  • Leaving a classroom without permission

  • Arguing with adults

  • Blaming someone else for something done by self

  • Scribbling on someone’s work

Traffic Light System

Behaviour at School

If a child’s name is moved onto red then the child will miss a playtime and complete a ‘think sheet’. This will taken to Mrs Slater and then will be sent home.

Traffic Light System

Behaviour at School

If a child is moved onto red 3

times in a term then a meeting

with parents will be called.

Traffic Light System

Behaviour at School

Example of behaviours that lead to Red:

  • Putting other children down

  • Rude or offensive language or behaviour

  • Threatening behaviour

  • Unprovoked physical violence of any kind

  • Leaving school without permission

  • Theft or vandalism

  • Discriminatory behaviour

Major breach of discipline

Behaviour at School

  • Verbal warning by the headteacher

  • Immediate red light and think sheet

  • Isolation, loss of privileges club & trips etc.

  • Continued serious, unacceptable behaviour may lead to fixed or permanent exclusion from school.

Lunch times/ Breakfast club

Behaviour at School

The same sanctions apply.

Preventing Bullying

Behaviour at School

Bullying is unacceptable.

If you have a problem or a

worry, always speak to an adult.

We will hold an annual anti-bullying week.

Parents/ Guardians

Behaviour at School

Our parents will know what

is going on in school! 

Outside School

If our behaviour outside school could let down the reputation

of the school then action will be taken in school.

This will begin on Monday.Evaluation meetings with parents, children, governorsand staff..
