  2. fallible Definition Example • (adj) capable of error • ant: infallible • Because we are all human, we all make mistakes; therefore, we are all fallible.

  3. fallow Definition Example • (adj) inactive; unproductive • syn: untrained • ant: fertile, productive • A fallow mind needs to be stimulated.

  4. farcical Definition Example • (adj) absurd; ridiculously clumsy • syn: ludicrous, funny • ant: somber, serious • If three people had not been seriously injured, the botched bank robbery would have been farcical.

  5. fatalistic Definition Example • (adj) believing that all things in life are inevitable, determined by fate • My father used to say that if you have a fatalistic attitude about life, you are most likely to think there is nothing you can do to change the course of your life.

  6. fawn Definition Example • (v) to act slavishly submissive • syn: kowtow, grovel • ant: ignore, disregard, neglect • The young dancers fawned over the prima ballerina.
