  3. Land • Some landforms that are in that area is the Appalachian Mountains and plains.

  4. Culture • The culture in this state came from the Dutch people who created coleslaw, apple dumplings, and potato soup.

  5. History • In PA The Declaration of Independence was written. • Betsy Ross made the first American flag.

  6. Interesting facts • People have lived in what we call Pennsylvania since about 10,000 B.C. • Hershey PA is the nation’s number one producer. • The Liberty Bell is composed of approximately 70 percent copper,25 percent tin and traces of lead , zinc, arsenic, gold, and sliver.

  7. Cheese Steak Sandwich • PA main dish is the cheese steak sandwich. The ingredients are 2 tablespoons, vegetable oil, 2 medium onions, sliced as thin as possible and rings separated, ½ cup sliced mushrooms, 12 ounces chipped steak [ thin sliced eye of round, rib eye, or sirloin tip roast]; freeze steak before slicing and slice it paper thin , salt and coarsely ground black pepper cheese whiz or provolone cheese, slices 1 Italian French, or hoagie roll, Dill pickle spears.

  8. Directions for Cheese Steak Sandwich • In a large frying pan over high , add olive oil and heat so a drop of water will sizzle when you drop it in the oil ; lower heat to medium • Add onions and mushrooms , stir and cook until mushrooms darken and onions start to look transparent • Add steak slices and cook for three minutes or until meat lightly brown. Next add salt and pepper to taste • Heap cooked meat mixture in a long pile across pan. • Lay cheese slices over meat until melted. If using cheese whiz, melt in the microwave • Slice bread lengthwise. Using a spatula, scoop meat mixture and cheese and lay on bread with cheese on top. If using melted cheese whiz, ladle it on top. Slice sandwich into two or four pieces ,and serve with a dill pickle.
